Using DID and Kerner Matching estimation methods, this documentcontains the results of evaluating the impacto of microcredits granted to poor entrepreneurs in Chile between years 1996 and 2005. This study uses an experimental group composed by entrepreneurs having only received one loan at the beginning and one loan at the end of the period. Sevral variables such as annual sales, business formality, business growth, as well as other individual and household variables have been measured. Results suggest that there is a positive effect of the credit on most of the variables associated not only to the credit characteristics but also to the enterprise situation, and in last term to the household variables. The results show that this impact has been more pronounced for female clients.
