Founded in 2006, EAFIT’s Center for Asia Pacific Studies at the School of Administration, Finance and Technology main objective is to fill the vacuum of knowledge and information on the Asia-Pacific region in Colombia and Latin America. The center’s main activities developed include specialty programs and postgraduate courses in Asian studies, as well as encouraging the teaching of Asian languages such as Mandarin, Japanese and Korean at the Language Center of the university. The center conducts seminars, lectures, conferences and reports on the Asia-Pacific and its relationship with Latin America, in addition to hosting its traditional Asian Week.
