Selection criteria for the PUC’s teaching fellowship in Asian Studies include having completed doctoral studies in history, geography or political science, and a clear professional profile as a researcher.
The fellowship comes on the heels of the PUC’s first graduating class for its new Diplomate in Asian Studies. The university wishes to expand its course offerings and is therefore seeking to add a Chilean or international expert in the field to its Faculty of History, Geography and Political Science.
"We're looking for a professional of proven excellence, be they Chilean or otherwise. Our main selection criterion involves the applicant having a strong research background and proven teaching ability," states Program Director Agustin Letelier of PUC’s Asian Studies program.
The fellowship is offered by the Faculty of History, Geography and Political Science and involves a full-time position (44 hrs/week). The fellow's salary will vary depend on responsibilities assigned, but base pay is CP$ 1.5 million, or approximately $2,300/month.
